Northern Trust declares quarterly dividend
Northern Trust Corporation declared a quarterly cash dividend of US$0.28 per share on its common stock (US$1.66-2/3 par value).
Helping clients respond to new accounting standards and disclosure requirements
Northern Trust has announced new tools intended to help institutional clients address recent accounting rules and disclosure requirements adopted in the US by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board.
These are related to investments in derivatives, hedging activities, valuations, major asset categories and various risk exposures of certain investments.
Moderate gains for US institutional plan sponsors in first quarter of 2010
US institutional plan sponsors experienced moderate gains in the first quarter of 2010, with a median return of 3.5 percent for plans in the Northern Trust Universe.
The Northern Trust Universe represents the performance of about 300 large institutional investment plans, with a combined asset value of approximately US$637 billion, which subscribe to Northern Trust performance measurement services.
