Fourth Annual Fund Forum Asia
Bert Rebelo, Northern Trust’s Director of Asia-Pacific Product Management and Strategy, was among the speakers at the Fourth Annual Fund Forum Asia, a four-day event held in Hong Kong during April.
Speaking on the subject of fiduciary management, Rebelo addressed an audience of chief executive officers, chief investment officers, investment experts and distributors at this major conference, which looked at some key investment principles and the future of fiduciary management in Asia in the post-crisis environment.
Derivatives conference: trends and challenges to the buy-side
Derivatives have come increasingly under the spotlight in recent years, with calls for greater transparency, increased automation, more efficient trading and execution and higher regulatory standards.
Exploring these issues, Northern Trust hosted a successful day long conference in Chicago last month entitled Derivatives: trends and challenges to the buy-side, with participation from over 40 institutional investors, asset managers and consultants.
Topics covered included the regulation and valuation of derivatives, use of central counterparties, collateral management and automated processing.
