Prestigious awards collected at Treasury Management International dinner
Northern Trust was the recipient of awards at a dinner held by Treasury Management International (TMI) magazine in London on 28 January. Northern Trust achieved double success at the TMI 2009 Awards for Innovation and Excellence in Treasury Management, with wins in the categories of Best Bank for Pension Solutions and Best Money Market Fund – North America.
Present to collect the awards, were David Rothon, Director of Global Cash and Fixed Income Product Management, and Steve Everett, Global Director of Balance Sheet and Operating Assets at Northern Trust. The awards are based on online nominations and responses from 10,000 postal questionnaires sent to TMI’s worldwide readership of treasurers.
FSO Knowledge Xchange's 5th Annual Asset Management Industry Forum
In December Dan Houlihan, Head of Investment Operations Outsourcing Product Development at Northern Trust, gave the keynote speech at FSO Knowledge Xchange's 5th Annual Asset Management Industry Forum at the Princeton Club in New York City.
A record number of asset managers and industry thought-leaders turned out for the event, which addressed the challenges of the economic crisis and covered topics such as technology, operations, business processes management and alternative investments.
Spotlight on index strategies at FTSE seminars
Debate focused on the merit of index strategies for diversification at the FTSE QDII seminars held in Beijing and Shanghai in December. Regarded as a leader in this space, executives from Northern Trust were on hand to drive the discussion.
